Initially, I was planning to move to Switzerland for a guaranteed $25 an hour wage. However, that measure was voted down. So, now I'm setting my sites on Seattle, Washington, home of the Supersonics Seahawks. Mayor Ed Murray has just passed a bill to raise Seattle's minimum wage to $15 an hour which “is [a] historic moment for the city of Seattle,” said Murray. “We’re going to decrease the poverty rate.”
Considering that the minimum in Ohio (my home state) is $7.95, which is $.70 above the minimum federal law requirement, $15 an hour to flip burgers sounds like a lick to me. What do you think?
